TERMS OF SERVICE

1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
By accessing or using Datavata ("the Service"), operated by Digital Frontera, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time, and your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of any changes.
2. SERVICE DESCRIPTION
Datavata is a fitness intelligence platform that connects to your Strava account to visualise, analyse, and present your activity data through interactive dashboards, maps, charts, and achievement cards. The Service is provided free of charge during the current beta period. We reserve the right to introduce paid features or subscription tiers in the future with advance notice.
3. STRAVA API USAGE
Datavata accesses your Strava data through the official Strava API. By using the Service, you:
- Authorise Datavata to access your Strava activity data via OAuth
- Acknowledge that Strava's own Terms of Service and API Agreement apply
- Understand that you may revoke access at any time through your Strava settings
- Agree that Datavata is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Strava
4. USER ACCOUNTS
Your Datavata account is created automatically when you connect your Strava account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Strava credentials. You must not share your session or allow others to access the Service through your account. You must be at least 16 years of age to use the Service.
5. ACCEPTABLE USE
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Service
- Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the Service beyond normal usage
- Interfere with, disrupt, or place an undue burden on the Service or its infrastructure
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any entity
6. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All content, design, graphics, code, and branding of Datavata are the intellectual property of Digital Frontera and are protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws. Your activity data remains your own property. By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to process and display your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
7. DATA AND PRIVACY
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal data. By using the Service, you consent to the data practices described in the Privacy Policy.
8. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. Activity data, statistics, and calculations are provided for informational purposes only and should not be relied upon for medical, training, or safety decisions.
9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Digital Frontera and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to use the Service (if any).
10. TERMINATION
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. You may terminate your account at any time by disconnecting Datavata from your Strava account and requesting data deletion. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately, and we will delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
11. CHANGES TO TERMS
We may modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Material changes will be communicated via the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
12. GOVERNING LAW
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
